PROJECTS
August 2008. After my mother died last November, and my sister Rhonda and I were going through all her cookbooks, recipe boxes and the like, we cried to remember how important cooking for others was to her. Her sister, my Aunt Doris, has always been the same, feeding us all over the years with such love and generosity. I compiled this collection of their recipes and published it last month. It is available at Blurb.com (priced at cost).
July 2007. I just finished compiling and editing a book of my uncle's poetry. He is seventy-four and in failing health. All his life he pursued artistic endeavors-- a writer of poetry and essays, a pianist and composer, an artist, a calligrapher; all the beautiful work he produced was given to and greatly appreciated by our family but nothing has ever been submitted for publication. I was determined to change that for him. The book is entitled "Winter's End" and is now available at Blurb.com (priced at cost) (Postnote: January 18, 2008. My sweet uncle slipped away in his sleep; rest in peace, Uncle Ronnie. Thank you for all you left us to remember you by.)
